Theinstallationinvolvespositioningflexibleheatingele

ordertoquicklymeltanysnoworicefallingoffpassing
trainsasaresultofvibration.
Thepointrodpitmayalsobeprovidedwithheatingby
meansofourpointrodheaters,whichareconnectedup
toextension
terminalsontheheaterspositionedonthe
stockrail.
Theheatingelementsarefixedtotherailusing
stainlesssteelprotectivechannels.Thechannelsare
suppliedinlengthsofonemetreandareavailablein
rigidandflexibledesigns.
Heatersandchannelsarefixedtotherailbymeansof
special
clipsmadeofspringsteel.
Severaldifferenttypesofrailprofilesare
foundintheswitchpointsthatexisttoday,
andsoitisimportanttostatethecorrecttype
ofrailinordertogettheappropriatetypeof
clip.
Control system
TheVELOXswitchpointheatingsystemcanbeusedwith
themostexistingcontrolsystems,providedtheysupply
230Vonthefeedercabletothepointheating.
Thisisbecausetheheaterslimittheirpoweroutputin
relationtothetemperatureoftherail.
Asaresultofitsdesign,theheating
elementproducesa
relativelystrongstartingcurrent,butthiscanbe
preventedthroughtheuseofsoftstartregulators.
VELOXRAILPOINTREGULATOR
Wemanufacturecustomdesignedautomaticcontrol
cabinetscontainingthyristorcontroldevicesandsoft
startregulators,aswellasequipmentforremote
controlandloggingofenergyconsumption
and
temperature,amongotherdata.
Theparametersoftheregulatorcanbecheckedandad
justedfromaremoteconnectedcomputer,andlogged
temperatureandcurrentvaluesmay,inthesameway,
becollectedandanalysedfurther.Communicationisby
afixedtelephoneconnectionorviaamodeminthe
auto
maticcontrolcabinetoveramobilelink.
Itisimportanttoindicateaccesstoa
telecommunicationconnectionandtostatethetypeof
feedingavailable(230/400or115/230)andiffouror
fiveconductorsystem.
